Our lodge getaways will be available every other day in January and February, and periodically throughout the rest of the calendar year.  Please note that reservations for High Season departure dates will open only 60 days prior.

DAY 0 EVENING BRIEFING IN CUSCO

DAY 1 INTRODUCTION TO THE SACRED VALLEY

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Cusco to the Sacred Valley for a visit to Chinchero, a small Andean village and Inca archaeological site thought to be the country residence of Inca emperor Tupac Yupanqui. From there, choose an inspiring downhill hike from Chinchero to the town of Urquillos along historic Inca trails, or an afternoon exploring Moray and natural salt mines in Maras.

DAY 2 EXPLORING PISAQ

Today you will have multiple ways to explore Pisaq. Start the day with an invigorating hike to the Pisaq archaeological site or a bike ride along the Urubamba river ex. For a more cultural experience, take a scenic drive to the town square and meander through its charming streets and colorful artisan marketplace. Afterwards, everyone will reunite for a traditional Pachamanca lunch back at the lodge and a relaxing afternoon at leisure.

    DAY 3 OLLANTAYTAMBO

    The day begins with a guided tour of the impressive Ollantaytambo Inca fortress. After lunch, explore the town’s charming maze-like streets and alleys or, for a more active afternoon, hike to the Pinkuylluna Inca storage houses high above the town for panoramic views of the Urubamba Valley. Late afternoon/early evening return to Cusco.

    / Breakfast at lodge, followed by a scenic drive to Ollantaytambo
    / Morning guided exploration of the Ollantaytambo archaeological site
    / Lunch in town
    / Explore Ollantaytambo or hike to Pinkuylluna
    / Evening return to Cusco; drop-off at hotel

    Reservations for the Sacred Valley Lodge Getaway open 60 days prior to each published departure date from March through December. Please contact an MLP travel specialist for more details.

    DETAILS:

    ● 3D/2N round-trip itinerary starting in Cusco.
    ● Rate is per person based on shared accommodations.
    ● Full program cost must be paid upon booking.
    ● Limited departure dates available.
    ● Single traveler accommodation request: subject to a 50% supplemental fee of the standard rate.
    ● Single traveler willing to share: No additional charge at MLP Lodges. A supplementary charge will apply at our affiliate hotels.
    ● Guaranteed departures with a minimum of two (2) guests.

    SERVICES INCLUDE:

    ● All transportation services for the duration of the standard itinerary.
    ● Two (02) nights lodging in Lamay Lodge.
    ● All meals except breakfast on Day 1 and dinner on Day 3.
    ● Bilingual MLP guide (English/Spanish) for the duration of the standard itinerary.

    EXTEND YOUR SACRED VALLEY EXCURSION WITH A VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU

    MLP offers an additional Machu Picchu excursion including an overnight in Aguas Calientes and a half-day guided tour of Machu Picchu.

    ITINERARY

    ● Afternoon departure from Lamay Lodge on Day 3 of the Sacred Valley Lodge Getaway
    ● Late afternoon train to Aguas Calientes at the base of Machu Picchu (approximately 1.5 hours)
    ● Overnight at hotel in Aguas Calientes
    ● Early morning shuttle bus ride to Machu Picchu (approximately 20 minutes)
    ● Morning guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel (approximately 2 hours)
    ● Afternoon train to Ollantaytambo followed by a scenic drive back to Cusco
